I Looked to the Sky As I Died
Awful things happen even on pretty days. After the 140 year old farmhouse I grew up in was demolished, it felt like we had killed a living thing. The broken windows reflected the sun, sky, and trees as if it had looked up with its dying gasp. It was both sad and beautiful. Drawing it helped me process those feelings.
